MESOZOIC

Combining traditional renderings with circular geometry, this series of illustrations are of creatures from the Mesozoic Era. The idea is to simultaneously depict the subject in a realistic and abstract manner. Inside a geometric window you see the animal in circular forms within an environment and as the animal emerges from the window it becomes realistic. Dinosaurs and other animals of the Mesozoic have always fascinated me as I have been drawing them since I was a young child. They inspire awe and curiosity about our planet and its mysterious past. This series of work has the prehistoric subjects depicted in a modern way. The series coincides with the "Mesozoic" paintings.
